    • Ongoing efforts to prevent and control pests through monitoring, eliminating harborages, and using traps or pesticides when needed.
  • Pest:
    • Unwanted creatures (insects, rodents, spiders, etc.) that cause damage, annoyance, or nuisance.
  • Remediation:
    • Actions taken to remove pests or indoor mold hazards as per specified regulations.
  • Underlying defect:
    • Condition (e.g., water leak, holes) that causes mold growth or pest infestations.
  • Visible mold:
    • Mold that can be seen through visual inspection, even if hidden behind furniture or obstructions.
